I was in Barnes & Noble a few weeks ago browsing the jazz section. I found this album that had come out recently and I had really enjoyed the guy's voice, but I left without buying anything. Yesterday, I was trying to find the album online... with only the memory of the album cover art work to guide me along my quest. Fail. I could not find a trace. Today, I went back to B&N and went through all of the artists determined to find this young pop-jazz artist. Hooray! I found the album. I LOVE JAMIE CULLUM... it's easier now that I know his name.

Bob Dylan reminds me of... men. in a simple, complex way. It makes me think of my daddy, a strange history teacher named mr. walsh, my friend owen, martin luther king jr., my english teacher mr. charron, my childhood best friend named dan, jesse mccartney, and pablo picasso. all these men are extremely, distinctly distant from each other. no correlation. in another sense, equally impossible to decode.

So, I'm forcing myself to post because I haven't in a really long time. I've been afraid. Afraid that if I documented these past weeks that time would speed up. Afraid that if I attempted to capture my feelings and thoughts that it would be incomplete or distorted. But, I think in the coming days, I should try. I will try to record the finale of high school and life as I've known it.
